How do I scan a document?
Tap the camera button at the bottom of the screen — or pick a tile on the Home tab for a specific mode (ID Card, Passport, Receipt, Whiteboard, Photo‑to‑PDF).
How do I add a document to the Vault?
Open the document from the Files tab, tap the ··· menu, and choose "Move to Vault." The Vault tab requires Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode to view.
How do I save a document to Apple Wallet?
Open the document, tap ··· → "Save to Wallet." Confirm or edit the auto‑filled fields, then tap "Add to Wallet." The pass appears in your iOS Wallet app.
Where are my scans stored?
On your iPhone, in VaultDoc's private application folder. Vaulted documents are additionally encrypted while the device is locked.
Can I sync across devices?
iCloud Drive sync is coming in a future update. In v1.0, scans live on the device that captured them — you can manually share via AirDrop or the iOS share sheet at any time.
Does VaultDoc need internet access?
No. VaultDoc works fully offline. All scanning, OCR, ID detection, and Wallet pass signing runs on‑device.
Why was my Wallet pass not added?
Make sure the iOS Wallet app is set up and you're signed in with your Apple ID. If the pass still doesn't add, email us — we'll help.
